My Lost Kainga is a new film Directed by Tony Fuemana. The film is set in the Kingdom of Tonga. It's a story of tragedy, discovery and love! The main character is played by Caroline Makakaufaki, a Tongan native who currently resides in Australia. The film chronicles her return back to Tonga to settle a few things and discovers that life on Tonga is not all that comfortable for her. Her journey back home is one of humor and sadness.
It is set to be released in the next few months in Tonga, New Zealand, and Australia. I am currently in the process of trying to work something out to see if we can get them to do a film showing here in Utah...so stay tuned for more details...
